5 Ways to Style a White Dress
Whether or not you are a bride- this style guide is for you! Of course I have tips for the bride, but white is not just for those bridal activities so I am reminding everyone to wear that white! Just follow the style tips below and you are good to go! It is a hot trend this year and I cannot wait to share these looks with you!
I am in love love with this adorable white dress! It has puff sleeves that can be slid up or down depending on how you want to wear it, and a tie waist, a tie at the chest and an adorable empire waist fit. This dress is find from Red Dress Boutique and is under $60! This dress is featured in all of the pictures but isn't linked on ShopStyle. So I will leave that link here: https://www.reddressboutique.com/products/take-your-own-way-white-dress
1. Dressed Down
This time I started with my fav! I love this dressed down look paired with just sneakers! I think this is the ultimate throw on and go look. Perfect for running errands and then immediately heading off to summer plans. A white dress is a total statement and will usually dominate the outfit, but with sneakers the outfit looks a little more under stated. Easy sneakers are another trend this summer, so you might as well just pair them together! You could even throw on a ball cap to add an even more effortless vibe!
2. Dressed Up
Now a dress is a piece that any of us could wear and make appropriate for work. A white dress might feel risky, but honestly go for it girl! Here I paired it with really simple and neutral jewelry to help balance the statement of the white dress. To make these even more appropriate for the office or church or a slightly dressier non bridal event, you could always add a blazer, cardigan, or jacket and trade out the wedges for flats or sandals. No matter how to style it, this dress is so ready to be dressed up!
3. Every Day
Okay, how perfect is this distressed denim jacket with this dress?? It is like they were made for each other! This is one of my go-to summer look. Easy dress with easy sandals and a denim jacket, paired with statement earrings! Such a summer breezy look that is perfect for all of those summer date nights and days in the sun. A dress like this that makes it own statement is just begging to be paired with all your favorite pieces to make an outfit you truly love! And that makes it perfect for every single day and any occasion!
Yesss here I am talking about transitioning from summer to fall again. But as fall gets closer and closer I definitely want to share how to style those summer pieces multiple ways. Here I have this fun dress that screams summer paired with over the knee boots and a suede jacket. A suede jacket and OTK boots are fall staples so mixing and matching is totally appropriate. I could totally see myself wearing this when the temps dip down to the 50's or 60's because the dress could still keep me cool but the boots totally take me to fall. I think this is adorable and gives the dress a different vibe and I am definitely here for it!
5. Of course, for the BRIDE
So tradition is tradition and rules are rules so probably the general rule of thumb still stands that at wedding related events, only the bride is allowed to wear white. So while any of us are able to wear a white dress to any other summer occasion we might encounter, this look is specifically for a bride for her shower or party! Here I have taken white the max and paired the dress with statement earrings and these adorable white wedges. I love that the accessories dress up the dress even more without being over the top dressy. I think this is definitely how this dress was meant to be styled! Let the white dress make the statement, and let those accessories amplify it! With all the attention on you, you need to look stunning :) Go get it, girl!
