New Years Outfit Guide

New Years Eve is here!!!

Which means the old is gone and the new has come! We can celebrate the moments of the past while excitedly looking ahead at what's to come. We are able to set goals and intentions about what we want and hope, but of course life will take its course and all we can do is make the best of it! NYE is a chance to celebrate all of our best efforts!

In honor of NYE, I am sharing my best moment of 2018, and my worst! All of course, before giving you a little outfit inspo :)

BEST: My favorite and most proud of moment of 2018 was graduating with not one, but TWO Master's degrees! I worked so hard for three years and was finally so proud to celebrate completion and success!

My biggest support!

WORST: CJ lost both of his grandparents this year and both times we were devastated. His grandparents lived in NY so CJ was as close to them as you can be from a distance. So we traveled to the funeral, too close together!

Onto outfits- the whole reason you are here!!! I am about to share three looks that you can definitely create using pieces your probably already own! In case you don't or didn't have time to run out and get an outfit like me!

NYE is such a fun chance to mix patterns and go a little bold!

Option 1. The first look is a faux fur vest, with a light pink velvet top underneath! I paired this fun mix of fabrics with a comfy pair of boyfriend jeans and heels! I LOVE pairing boyfriend jeans with heels because they soften the look of a looser jean and really elevate the chic level. You can be comfy but still look so fashion forward! NYE is a chance to pull out any velvet, fur, sequins, or satin you have tucked away into your closet and have fun with it! If you don't want to look TOO bold, I definitely recommend pairing your look with jeans!

NYE is a great excuse to show a little skin!

In option 2, I have a fun cropped NYE inspired sweater paired with a mini skirt and OTK boots! If you feel shy about showing a little thigh with OTK boots in the day to day, maybe you could try it out tonight! I promise it looks so cute and is very fashion forward! I am sure many of you have skirts you don't wear too often, well tonight is the night! Add a little heeled option and a sweater with a little extra detail and you're good to go!

Go simple with a graphic tee and elevate it with some heels!

Option 3. If you are anything like me, you definitely don't wear heels all that often. Well tonight is the night! I pull them out to elevate my look and look a little more put together. Here I have the heels dressed down with distressed jeans and a graphic tee. I love a graphic tee for NYE because a) you probably already own one, and b) it can be your mantra for the new year! This year, I will be celebrating that I and my loved ones are alive and well. What's better than that?!

An outfit is never complete unless you have the right accessories. I wore these cuties in every outfit I posted and they worked so well for all of them! They even matched my NYE tiara :)

Well friends, thanks for reading! I hope you all have an amazing and safe New Years! Cheers to the best 2019 we can have!
